The destination

Stockholm — where innovation meets nature

Stockholm offers something few European capitals can match: a modern business environment surrounded by water, islands, historic architecture and world-leading innovation. Built across fourteen islands connected by more than fifty bridges, the city combines efficient infrastructure, internationally recognised sustainability standards and a thriving technology ecosystem with immediate access to nature and the archipelago. For international companies planning conferences, incentive trips, executive meetings or client events, Stockholm feels both productive and memorable — delegates can move from a strategy session in a waterfront venue to a private dinner in a royal setting, then board a boat into the archipelago the following morning.

Our home city

Adventy's home ground since 1987

Stockholm is where our local network is deepest. Since 1987 we have delivered programmes for international organisations ranging from fast-growing technology companies to global brands including Meta, LinkedIn, King and many other multinational clients. Every programme is tailored around the client's objectives — team building, executive networking, customer engagement, product launches or reward travel — and operated by an experienced Adventy producer with direct relationships across venues, transport, production and the archipelago supplier base.

Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Arrival & welcome

International guests typically arrive via Stockholm Arlanda, Sweden's main international gateway. Adventy manages airport meet-and-greet services, executive transfers and coordinated arrivals for groups of every size. Depending on the programme and guest profile, accommodation may be arranged at a waterfront hotel in central Stockholm, a design-led boutique property, or an archipelago resort offering space for both meetings and relaxation. The programme opens with a welcome evening that introduces guests to the city's atmosphere — private dining in Gamla Stan, a rooftop reception overlooking the harbour, a waterside venue on Djurgården, or a setting connected to Stockholm's royal heritage. The evening is designed to create early connections in a relaxed Nordic setting.

  2. Day 2

    City, culture & innovation

Day two combines Stockholm's history with the innovation that has made Sweden one of Europe's most influential business destinations. Possible elements include a private guided exploration of Gamla Stan, after-hours access to major cultural institutions, off-record sessions with local entrepreneurs and innovation leaders, design-focused experiences highlighting Scandinavian creativity, and Nordic culinary programmes. For conference groups, the day can incorporate keynotes, workshops and structured networking. Stockholm is home to internationally recognised companies and startups across technology, gaming, sustainability, fintech and life sciences — particularly attractive for organisations seeking inspiration and future-focused perspectives.

  3. Day 3

    Stockholm archipelago experience

No Stockholm programme is complete without the archipelago. Stretching into the Baltic, it comprises roughly 30,000 islands, skerries and islets — one of the world's most unusual coastal landscapes. Guests board a private vessel directly from central Stockholm and head into the inner archipelago. Depending on objectives, the day can include island lunches, outdoor team activities, kayaking and soft-adventure options, private island take-overs, sustainability-focused experiences or executive networking in secluded settings. The programme concludes with a farewell dinner or coordinated departures, sequenced around flight schedules.

Planning notes

Planning a corporate event in Stockholm: what international organisers should know

Stockholm is a straightforward city to operate in — well-connected, English-fluent and engineered for international business. The notes below cover the practical questions we are most often asked when planners send a request for a new programme.

Airport access
Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) is the main international gateway, with direct routes from across Europe, North America and the Middle East.
Transfer times
Arlanda Express runs to the city centre in roughly 20 minutes; private car transfers take 35–45 minutes depending on traffic.
Best season
May–September is strongest for outdoor and archipelago programmes, with Nordic daylight extending evenings past 9pm. Winter suits indoor conferences and aurora-adjacent add-ons further north.
Hotel capacity
Deep 4★ and 5★ inventory across central Stockholm.
Sustainability
Most venues, hotels and DMC suppliers operate to internationally recognised standards. Measurable footprint reporting available on request.
Local dining
Seasonal Nordic cuisine dominates. Allergens and dietary requirements are handled with care across the supplier base.
Weather
Long, mild Nordic summers; cold but well-organised winters with indoor-friendly programming.
Budget guidance
Per-delegate costs typically sit between Amsterdam and Copenhagen, depending on venue selection and programme intensity.
Archipelago logistics
Straightforward inside a 60-minute radius from central Stockholm; local relationships matter when private vessels or island take-overs are involved.
